HOMELY MAN HOBBIES

1. Children Can Learn From Your Hobbies

Summer is almost over, next month is back to school again, I'd become very busy this last few weeks buying all the school supplies of my children that are need this coming school year. But before school start I am proud that my children learn a lot this summer. I thought them about my hobbies. They learn how to play piano (not complicated music an easy one for beginners); cook some easy dishes like hotcakes spaghetti, and other thing. I did this because I want them to be more exposed on what I am doing and at the same time they learn, and you know children are really wants to learn in anyway they can, we are only here to guide them and provide them on what to do.

What kids can learn from our hobbies. For me there many things they will learn. And not only will that it improve our communication and our bonding to them. Hobbies are good because they're all become productive .teaching hobby makes is a good way for parents it also help our children to learn values of handwork and how to spend leisure time productively.

Hobbies will help them organized; I like cooking, my son learn this because I want him to be organized, because in cooking you should follow procedure and not just doing anything you want to put on the pan. It also teaches them to become patient too. Like doing bead work, the procedure must follow they have to put the beads according to its design and they cannot rush until they finished it.

Hobbies also help them to become neat and learn the proper neatness one's own thing. In making bead work they have to separate each beads according to size shape and colors. Through that not knowingly you are teaching them how to separate toys and whenever they used it they have them to put in proper places.

They can also learn to be resourceful, being creative such as doing artwork or crafts; kids can recycle materials that they have around the house, such as ribbons, stamps, laces old beads etc. They can also learn to be creative as well because in doing art using recycle materials makes them to think on what is the use of it, like they can make basket from the old newspaper, the old bottle can be clean and put different colors of marbles or sand inside and make it a beautiful displays at home.

If your hobby is exercising like hiking, walking, running, etc. Through that you can teach your children to be health conscious not only that if you are in to sport they will also became sport lover.

Hobbies can also promote social activity if your hobby is joining in communities you can make your children also involve on what you are in doing in the community, like helping how to improve community or in the church, through this your children will also learn how to communicate with other and they become sociable.

2. Tips for Buying and Collecting Sports Memorabilia

Collecting sports memorabilia can be a profitable and exciting hobby. Maybe you've always had an interest in sports teams and related products, and perhaps you collected ball cards or ball accessories as a kid. Today, even many adults collect products reflecting their favorite teams. Some even buy and sell sports collectibles as a business. Whatever your passion, here are some helpful tips for collecting and buying sports memorabilia.

Learn about the Industry and Team History

Sports collectibles have been around for many decades, but that doesn't mean all "old stuff" is worth anything. The best thing you can do before you go around buying all sorts of products is to study the industry and history of your sports interest. There's no way of telling how much an item will be worth, but doing your homework can help you avoid wasting your money on lots of worthless items.

If you have a favorite ball team, study the history of players and find out which ones were the best in their day. Also, find out which players had something unique to happen in their lives or while playing on the team. Sometimes, one unusual event or a unique skill can drive up the price of a player's card tremendously. Study coaches, rookies, and special edition cards or other memorabilia.

Once you know what you're looking for, you can start searching online, or at yard sales and flea markets for certain items. You might have to buy a whole collection of sports memorabilia to obtain one valuable collector's item, but it will be well worth the investment.

Shop with Reputable Dealers - Online or Off-line

Find several reputable dealers that sell authentic signed memorabilia and other high-quality sports products. Shop with the dealers you trust. Beware of scams online - dealers that cannot show proof of authenticity on high-dollar items. Also, beware of those who might try to pass off sports memorabilia with forged signatures. If you have a bad feeling about a product or dealer, don't take the risk.

Take Proper Care of Your Sports Memorabilia

Signed collectibles should be protected at all times and kept in a dry area of your home or business. Avoid packing items away in cardboard boxes or plastic bags. Instead, store sports collectibles in plastic sealed containers that cannot be accessed by bugs, spiders, or mice. Store your collectibles at room temperature, away from moisture or direct sun exposure, if you want to keep items in top condition.

For items on display, it's wise to use safe, sturdy display cases. Many online sports dealers sell a variety of display cases, so it should be easy to find one to suit your needs. Be sure to secure breakables where they cannot fall or get scratched or broken easily. Keep them secured from pets as well. If you display items out in the open, a cat or dog could easily knock the items over and break them, or even chew on them!

If you own very high-dollar sports collectibles, check with your homeowners or business insurance agency to see if these items are covered in your policy in case of fire, theft, or other unforeseen events. If not, you might want to add an extra policy to cover these items.

Signed memorabilia and other sports products also make great gifts for any occasion. You can easily go online to choose items based on your loved one's favorite sports team such as a jersey, a signed ball card, a blanket with a team logo, coins, artwork, or other products.

Whether you collect sports memorabilia for pleasure or business, you can visit an online dealer to find a variety of products without ever leaving your home or office. Don't be too hasty, but take time to think over a big purchase. You'll soon have a sports collection you can be proud to call your own!

3. Automobile toy models for collectors

A lot of guys out there grew up playing with their toy cars, planes, trains, space ships, basically different types of vehicles. While there are those who eventually forgot about it as they got older and become more focused on work and their families, there are still some guys who never got over their fascination with such toys and have actually turned their old playthings into a collection that they can be proud of.

Vintage automobiles tend to be very popular for such toy collectors. Aside from scouring the local hobbyists' shops, which have rows and rows of various types of automobiles from different eras, avid automobile collectors also like to frequent flea markets for 'forgotten treasures'.

Even though these automobile collectibles are just considered as simple child's toys, serious automobile toy collectors can actually amass a small fortune if they sell their collections on internet auction sites wherein there are loads of similar toy automobile collectors looking for their next vintage buy.

Some automobile toy collectors can get lucky especially with flea markets as there are a lot of interesting curios and collectibles that can be found in such places. If a rare chance comes by and you see an automobile toy collectible that is in good condition, make sure that you grab it as you as you spot it and ask for a price quote from the seller. If you have very good haggling skills, you can get that automobile toy car for as little as $1. However, if the seller happens to have a keen eye when it comes to collectibles, and is abreast with what is in with automobile toy collectors nowadays, you can expect a higher price quote of up to $80 for a single automobile toy collectible even if it is just being sold in a flea market.

Not surprisingly, a lot of automobile toy collectors will actually be willing to pay even if it is considered as such an exorbitant amount by some. For these loyal collectors, they consider the price as nothing as long as it is an automobile toy collectible that they have spent years looking for - most especially if it is one-of-a-kind.

If you want to get started with your own automobile toy collection, there are more budget-friendly alternatives out there like the Matchbox line from Mattel which may turn out to be expensive automobile toy collectibles in the future. If you are determined to ensure the value of your automobile toy collectibles, it is best that you keep them in a safe place - preferably one that is free from dust and water. It is actually considered by weird as some that most toy collectors often prefer to have their prized collections stored behind glass cases or just kept in a box - not ever playing with it. But that is actually their way of ensuring the toy's quality and value - by keeping it from possibly getting damaged. Collector's edition toys sell more in auction sites if it is still in mint condition as opposed to something that looks like the dog just dug out from the trash can.

Just to get you started on the art of toy collecting, log on to the Internet and view auction sites to pick out something that you fancy enough to want to start collecting it.
