I. Do You Have The Answer of These 10 Question Before Starting Your Work at Home Based Business

If you believe that the internet is still in its infancy, then you have to be aware that the infancy is almost over. The internet gains its maturity faster. Everybody wants to take advantage of the internet must treat it as if it a mature entity. You’ve got to be serious about using internet as your business vehicle.

If you still think that you can easily make fortune out of the internet, then you may miss the big picture of it unless you are aware of the things you should ask yourself and give your answer before you build your internet business.

You should understand that building an internet business is different from making money from the internet. You can make more money from the internet without building any business.

While building an internet business may 'cost' you big investment, making money from the internet may cost you nothing or less. But here's the interesting part. Making money from the internet needs you stick to the internet all the time. Simply put, the money stops coming in when you stop your internet activity. On the other hand, if you do it correctly, the internet business you're building will make money for you even while you're sleeping or away in vacation.

So, to do it correctly, you should ask yourself these questions before building any internet business:

1. Do you have a vision?
What is your business vision? You should have it clear in your mind what your business be in the next 5 years, 10 years, or 20 years.

2. Do you recognize your business strength?
What is your business strength? This will affect the whole concept and strategies of your business. If you think that you don't have that strength, then you must make an exercise to find that strength!

3. Do you set your business goals?
What missions you want to be accomplished to achieve your business vision? These missions will be your business goals. Make a list of clear and measurable goals with detail activities to reach it.

4. Do you have a business strategy?
What to do to win your business? Use a Plan-Do-Check-Act cycle to test your business strategy.

5. Do you have the technology?
What technology needed for your business? What will be involving? You need to decide which technology is appropriate to your business.

6. Do you have good quality products to offer?
What products you want to offer to your customer? You have to make sure that the product you want to offer to your customer is the one with good quality.

7. Do you have a good quality customer?
What kind of customer will you have? One part of your business activity should be about finding good quality customer. Good quality customer is the one who's willing to observe, evaluate and buy your products again, again, and again.

8. Do you have a good quality information to offer?
Your customer needs information. Unless you can provide it, you won't win the business game.

9. Do you have a business coach?
Who will mentor and watch your business growth from the outside? Sometimes you need more than just advice and consultation to grow your business. You may decide to get a business coach to help you grow your business.

10. Do you have the guts, the passion, the patient and the endurance toward the business?
The last things you should have: guts, passion, patient and endurance to build your business.

If you can't answer just one of the 10 questions above, then you may cancel or think over again about building an internet business. Click Below To More Complete Information.

III. oGoHub: The NEXT Internet Sensation

Do companies like Google, Yahoo or Craig's List send you a monthly check for making them obscene amounts of money?

Of course not and why would they. It's people like you and I and millions of others who use their services on a daily basis that generates millions of dollars for them every single day. Why would they share their revenue with everyone else when they are already making billions of dollars? Companies like Google, Yahoo, Amazon and Craig's List are leaders in their respective fields and will be mainstays in the American culture for years to come.

These companies are generating BILLIONS of dollars in the online classified ad market each and every year. If you are not aware of this billion dollar industry let me shed some light on the online classified ad market. The online classified ad market is estimated to generate $100 BILLION dollars worldwide. With the economy in serious trouble these days, one of the few markets that hasn't been hit by the economic downturn and has continuously grown it's profits is the online classified ad market. It is estimated that Google will generate nearly $19 BILLION dollars in ad revenue this year. What does that mean to people like you and I, nothing if you don't own Google. You just tip your hat to them and acknowledge their amazing success.

But what if, I was to tell you there is a company that has been researching the online classified ad market for several years and is launching a ground floor opportunity, to share with the general public all over the world, to take advantage of this BILLION dollar industry. The name of this company is called GoGoHub. I'm sure you are saying to yourself who is GoGoHub, why are they being considered by some to be the NEXT Internet sensation and why should you care? If you ever wanted to capitalize on this BILLION dollar industry, GoGoHub will show you the way. Not only is GoGoHub letting the general public share in it's wealth, it is providing a service that could soon take over Craig's List's dominance in the online classified ad market.

In order to be a dominant player on the Internet, you have to provide a unique service to the general public that will make their lives better and easier. That is what GoGoHub is providing to anyone wanting to take advantage of this amazing home business opportunity. Not only is GoGoHub willing to share a portion of their classified ad revenue with it's users, it is also changing the way people post and search for classified ads on the Internet. As we all know Craig's List has dominated the online classified ad field for many years and after researching the market, GoGoHub is revolutionizing the way people will post and search for online classified ads in the future, with a technological breakthrough called Geo-Targeting.

Geo-Targeting lets users search for classified ads all over the world and will LOCALIZE your search results to within a 5 mile radius of your search location. No longer will you get search results that are useless to you. It will also provide you with REAL TIME search results, meaning the results being brought back to you are as up to date as can be. Another major difference between using Craig's List and GoGoHub is that when you place an ad with Craig's List you will ONLY be placing your ad on their website. If you place an ad on GoGoHub your ad will be blasted to thousands of other classified ad sites to get the maximum exposure for your ad.

In order to dominate in a specific industry you have to come up with advances that your competitors are not offering you. GoGohub is providing the advances that will set itself apart from Craig's List to become the new leader in the online classified ad market. Think of the possibilities of potentially sharing millions or even billions of dollars in ad revenue just for using and referring others to it's website. The company is offering the general public an opportunity of a lifetime right now to join an exclusive limited pool of 1000 members if you become a Professional Marketer, which will allow you to share in the company's ad revenue for the lifetime of this platform. 1. The most Advanced Roulette System in the World: Intelligently Roulette System - Win at Roulette

The most Advanced Roulette System in the World: Intelligently Roulette System - Win at Roulette

Win at Roulette using Simple, Free, and Effective System.

Discover the Truth about our Intelligently RBS System.

Play intelligently using RBS software or use real time roulette systems modification tool.

RBS or Red and Black Roulette Systems Studio - is a roulette tool built by MMM Software Development Team.

By building roulette system we should figure for us what we want finally and how we plan to do this.
Due to the fact that every simply roulette system can't win in a long run but a complex roulette system is too hard to develop then we should focus all our forces to create something simply that can be extended or modified latter.

So we can start here from the main idea that will be based on one small block from which will start whole our development.

This was the principle we used when we developed our universal roulette tool.
As you know online roulette consist of 37 numbers and this is not all because in the end we will found much more possibility to bet on roulette like: red/black, columns, dozens, odd/even, high/low but these are the most important and most used and for sure not all roulette elements.

I propose in this article to talk about red and black betting method.
This meant we will need several decisional blocks related to what to do in case landed red or black and to not forget about zero.

The next step is to decide how much units we will bet on red or black.
The last block will be based on the events like lost or won on current step and special actions for this block like what to do in case one of these events happened.

Finally we can say that we have one complex decisional block that will include next elements:
1. What to do in case landed Black on current spin and this mean an action for the next step related to what color to bet.
2. What to do in case landed Red on current spin and this mean an action for the next step related to what color to bet.
3. What to do in case landed Zero on current spin and this mean an action for the next step related to what color to bet.
4. Which amount to bet.
5. What to do in case of lost situation.
6. What to do in case of won situation.

Now when we have this complex decisional block that will allow us to control all related to one roulette step we may want to use more such steps that finally will allow us to build complex roulette systems.

Yes we can do this with such structure and you should know that with it we can build not only one roulette system but a lot of roulette systems.
In this case we can't talk about such software like about one roulette system and this finally is roulette tool that allow you to design your own roulette system based on red and black betting strategies using custom progression and events that will allow you to control what you will do on every step.

So finally I want to talk about the benefice of using such concept.
First of all you deal with a roulette system made in an open source roulette system format and this mean you will know always how your own roulette system will act during the game.

Second you will be able to share your own roulette system with the other and always to load and play an already existing roulette system and always to modify it in order to improve and to make it better.

Due to the fact that every roulette system can't show good results on small sequences we added to our roulette tool a very important feature that will allow you to change your active roulette system real time.

Related to when to change it will help our game variables that always show how good or bad are your active roulette system for the current playing sequence.

All I can recommend to all for now is to test our roulette tool and to try to understand how to use it properly because only in this case you will receive good results and you will be able to control your game and always to avoid losing sequences.

2. The World Poker Tour: Extremely Import For The Development Poker

It was poker rooms of the local casinos and the online casinos that brought the game of poker to their customers. This game was confined to the walls of these places only, until the WPT came for its rescue. This is a TV show that brought this exciting game to the forefront and made it an socially accepted game. Here you will find WPT explained in detail.

The concept of the WPT was established in the USA, by Steven Lipscomb. He was a television producer but with the advent of the WPT, he has now taken over the charge of the CEO of WPT Enterprises.. The WPT is basically a succession of worldwide poker events. Most of the world's professional players are part of this tour. At present, it is one of the hottest TV programs and is hosted by Mike Sexton and Vince Van Patten. In the July, 2008, Amanda Leatherman (poker player and reporter) has been hired to host the "live updates". The sponsors of this show are the famous poker casinos and online casinos.

As the entire thing sounds interesting, you might be anxious to know how all this took shape and came into existence. Well, the debut show of the World Poker Tour was aired in the spring of 2003 on the Travel Channel of the American cable TV. It showcased the WPT championship of April, 2003, held at the Bellagio Casino in Las Vegas. In April, 2008, the WPTE moved the series to GSN for airing the sixth season of the tour. Recently, it has been announced that the series' seventh season would be aired on the Fox Sports Net In the year 2004, another aspect was added, called the Walk of Fame. It has been developed to honor the great poker players.

The most interesting trait of the WPT is that it does not take much to compete with the professional players. If you can afford the 'buy-in' amount or even if you could win a "satellite" event then you become eligible to play with any of the top professional players. Most of the poker players love watching this TV show. This show has made use of many technical innovations to make the poker tournament seem more enchanting and thrilling. Moreover, with the increasing popularity of this show, they are adding special programs to it. Walk of Fame, Hollywood Home Game and recently, a ladies only event called Ladies Night has also been added to the WPT. A constant effort to make the show a success is an important reason why even in its seventh season, it is still one of the highest rated shows on TV.

Most of the poker events held around the globe are part of the WPT, particularly the ones being held in the USA. It includes a number of regular events as part of the poker tour. On top of these, there are a few special events that are added in each season as special attractions. Besides that, there is a World Poker Championship that is given to one poker player per season. You can also find out the detailed results of each season at the official website, i.e., worldpokertour.com.

The last and coming events, interviews, press releases, results of the various poker events and more can be found WPT's website. The WPT Enterprises has also started its services on the mobile network. This gives you the freedom to watch this show on your mobile as well. So, if you have been missing the WPT then do not continue with your mistake anymore.

3. Cornhole – The Original Backyard Game

For a long time, people have known about the Cornhole game. Not everyone likes it, but most people in the Northeast do. Some of the people in the West also enjoy the game. If you go to the South, fewer people have heard of it, or have heard of it under that name. Other people don't know it by the name Cornhole, but they call it the bean bag game or the bean bag toss. Regardless of what it's called, a lot of people have been enjoying it in their backyards for a lot of years, ever since it first came about. No matter where it came from either Illinois or Ohio it's popular enough despite the friendly arguments from people who keep playing it. That's good news for the Cornhole game industry, since not everyone wants to make his or her own game set. Many places on the Internet are available where the bags and boards can be bought if people don't want to make their own games. Making sure you get a reputable dealer and a good deal is important if you want to enjoy your Cornhole board with your friends and family for a long period of time.

You can certainly build your own set, however, if you decide that you want to. All you need is a few common tools and some basic woodworking skills. You can get free directions for making your own Cornhole board on the Internet. If you want to make the board yourself, make sure you take the time to get directions from a good site and don't just use whatever your friend's friend said would work. Before you make a board you need good directions that are easily understandable. The same is true of the Cornhole bags. While it might seem easy to make these bags, you can't just make random bags and fill them and sew them up, because their weight must be right, they must be properly filled, and they have to be the right size. You have to know what you're doing when you build the bags, just like you do when you build the board, but neither one of them are too difficult for most people to create.

Some of the people who are now beginning to play the Cornhole game are doing it because they are heading back to their roots and reality television and video games are not satisfying their needs anymore. Not that there's anything wrong with these things, but there are a lot of people becoming interested in getting back to basics. For a lot of these people, the basics include family and friends and quality time with them. Backyard barbeques, family get-togethers, birthday parties, and other similar events are all great times to play the Cornhole game, whether you make it yourself or buy it from a retailer.

2. Job Centre Advertises for Nude Models

An MP has criticised the Jobcentre Plus agencies stating that there was a case for legitimate concern over advertisements for ‘web-cam models’.

An erotic Internet site based in Cardiff , South Wales posted the advertisement in Jobcentres.

The Department for Work and Pensions has come under fire as their Jobcentre Plus network advertised for nude web cam models. The Jobcentres involved in the incident are located in Chorlton and Didsbury.

The advert stipulates that applicants are employed as web performers and will be required to perform fantasies for clients.

Potential candidates take part in a web cam-based interview with suitable applicants being hired.

All applicants have to be over the age of 18 and be free to work 15-40 hours per week, for an hourly rate of between £8-£10.

Full nudity is also required with a representative is on call 24 hours a day in case of emergencies.

They will also be expected to participate in a sexual dialogue with the customers.

The company involved said that everybody has a right to advertise jobs providing they are not illegal.

The Jobcentre plus agency had approved the advertisements as it followed the required guidelines.

It was also stated that nothing rude or offensive is featured in the adverts and that everyone has the right to do whatever job they like.

However local MPs believe that the Department for Work and Pensions are going overboard trying to avoid any potential litigation.

The Jobcentre network stated that it has a duty to advertise every legal job and is legally obliged to do as such after being taken to court in 2003.

The Department for Work and Pensions was taken to court by Ann Summer after refusing to display their adverts. A High Court judge ruled that Jobcentres are legally obliged to display adverts for legal work in the sex and personal service industries.

3.Make Good Use of the Internet for Your Modeling Career

Doing what you like in life is very important, as it can bring you immense satisfaction. If you start your day thinking that you dread going to your place of work or having to engage in some activity that you totally dislike, chances are you won’t have a very good day. Unfortunately, in most cases we don’t get to have a say, because we have to follow the rules that society sets. We are part of a society, and we depend on other people, just as they depend on us. One way of making sure that you’re not going to reach the point in your life where you can no longer stand the routine and your daily activities is to choose the profession or occupation that you enjoy the most and are best at. Of course, this requires a lot of thought and consideration, but with some help from older and more experienced people, and with some careful looking into what your skills and talents are, you should be able to decide on a profession some time during your adolescence. This article will discuss modeling, who should choose this career, and what modeling implies. We will also be taking a closer look at male models.

Many people are attracted to modeling for the kind of life it can offer. Being in the spotlight, traveling all over the world, having your picture on the cover of magazines, advertising for famous brands, all these are the ingredients of a career that most male model wannabes see as the ideal occupation. As you already know, all male models have the looks. This is something modeling simply can’t work without. Things may change in the future, but for now male models have to be very good looking and fit. In fact, we can easily speak of male fitness models, for they all look like they have just stepped out of a gym that they have been spending a lot of years in. But the good looks are not enough. The attitude is also very important. There are millions of attractive people out there. What’s important is to be able to make yourself noticed. Self-confidence is the main ingredient for the attitude that all men aspiring to become male models should have. Then there’s that bit of luck that we all need when trying to accomplish something big. But luck is more a matter of personal opinion rather than a scientific fact, which means that in most cases you should be able to make your own luck.

The male model career should not be treated lightly, even though you have the looks. You can become very famous and very well paid, but before that happens you have to be noticed. This translates into some sort of an investment, which can vary according to how far you want to go with reaching the target that you are interested in. Probably one of the best ways of showing your availability and willingness to become a model is to have your photo, or photos displayed on a specialized male models web site. Of course, male models also have to have an attractive portfolio, but that’s not going to get you noticed. We all know that the Internet has grown into a very reliable source of information, and subsequently everybody uses it to find whatever they may be interested in. Becoming a member of such a male fitness models website can only be beneficial for your future modeling career. It is the same male fitness models website that will keep you up to date with fitness information and articles, as well as the latest photos with the hottest models and athletes.

But before school start I am proud that my children learn a lot this summer. I thought them about my hobbies. They learn how to play piano (not complicated music an easy one for beginners); cook some easy dishes like hotcakes spaghetti, and other thing. I did this because I want them to be more exposed on what I am doing and at the same time they learn, and you know children are really wants to learn in anyway they can, we are only here to guide them and provide them on what to do.

What kids can learn from our hobbies. For me there many things they will learn. And not only will that it improve our communication and our bonding to them. Hobbies are good because they're all become productive .teaching hobby makes is a good way for parents it also help our children to learn values of handwork and how to spend leisure time productively.

Hobbies will help them organized; I like cooking, my son learn this because I want him to be organized, because in cooking you should follow procedure and not just doing anything you want to put on the pan. It also teaches them to become patient too. Like doing bead work, the procedure must follow they have to put the beads according to its design and they cannot rush until they finished it.

Hobbies also help them to become neat and learn the proper neatness one's own thing. In making bead work they have to separate each beads according to size shape and colors. Through that not knowingly you are teaching them how to separate toys and whenever they used it they have them to put in proper places.

They can also learn to be resourceful, being creative such as doing artwork or crafts; kids can recycle materials that they have around the house, such as ribbons, stamps, laces old beads etc. They can also learn to be creative as well because in doing art using recycle materials makes them to think on what is the use of it, like they can make basket from the old newspaper, the old bottle can be clean and put different colors of marbles or sand inside and make it a beautiful displays at home.

If your hobby is exercising like hiking, walking, running, etc. Through that you can teach your children to be health conscious not only that if you are in to sport they will also became sport lover.

Hobbies can also promote social activity if your hobby is joining in communities you can make your children also involve on what you are in doing in the community, like helping how to improve community or in the church, through this your children will also learn how to communicate with other and they become sociable.

There's no way of telling how much an item will be worth, but doing your homework can help you avoid wasting your money on lots of worthless items.

If you have a favorite ball team, study the history of players and find out which ones were the best in their day. Also, find out which players had something unique to happen in their lives or while playing on the team. Sometimes, one unusual event or a unique skill can drive up the price of a player's card tremendously. Study coaches, rookies, and special edition cards or other memorabilia.

Once you know what you're looking for, you can start searching online, or at yard sales and flea markets for certain items. You might have to buy a whole collection of sports memorabilia to obtain one valuable collector's item, but it will be well worth the investment.

Shop with Reputable Dealers - Online or Off-line

Find several reputable dealers that sell authentic signed memorabilia and other high-quality sports products. Shop with the dealers you trust. Beware of scams online - dealers that cannot show proof of authenticity on high-dollar items. Also, beware of those who might try to pass off sports memorabilia with forged signatures. If you have a bad feeling about a product or dealer, don't take the risk.

Take Proper Care of Your Sports Memorabilia

Signed collectibles should be protected at all times and kept in a dry area of your home or business. Avoid packing items away in cardboard boxes or plastic bags. Instead, store sports collectibles in plastic sealed containers that cannot be accessed by bugs, spiders, or mice. Store your collectibles at room temperature, away from moisture or direct sun exposure, if you want to keep items in top condition.

For items on display, it's wise to use safe, sturdy display cases. Many online sports dealers sell a variety of display cases, so it should be easy to find one to suit your needs. Be sure to secure breakables where they cannot fall or get scratched or broken easily. Keep them secured from pets as well. If you display items out in the open, a cat or dog could easily knock the items over and break them, or even chew on them!

If you own very high-dollar sports collectibles, check with your homeowners or business insurance agency to see if these items are covered in your policy in case of fire, theft, or other unforeseen events. If not, you might want to add an extra policy to cover these items.

Signed memorabilia and other sports products also make great gifts for any occasion. You can easily go online to choose items based on your loved one's favorite sports team such as a jersey, a signed ball card, a blanket with a team logo, coins, artwork, or other products.

Whether you collect sports memorabilia for pleasure or business, you can visit an online dealer to find a variety of products without ever leaving your home or office. Don't be too hasty, but take time to think over a big purchase. You'll soon have a sports collection you can be proud to call your own!

3. Automobile toy models for collectors

A lot of guys out there grew up playing with their toy cars, planes, trains, space ships, basically different types of vehicles. While there are those who eventually forgot about it as they got older and become more focused on work and their families, there are still some guys who never got over their fascination with such toys and have actually turned their old playthings into a collection that they can be proud of.

Vintage automobiles tend to be very popular for such toy collectors. Aside from scouring the local hobbyists' shops, which have rows and rows of various types of automobiles from different eras, avid automobile collectors also like to frequent flea markets for 'forgotten treasures'.

Even though these automobile collectibles are just considered as simple child's toys, serious automobile toy collectors can actually amass a small fortune if they sell their collections on internet auction sites wherein there are loads of similar toy automobile collectors looking for their next vintage buy.

Some automobile toy collectors can get lucky especially with flea markets as there are a lot of interesting curios and collectibles that can be found in such places. If a rare chance comes by and you see an automobile toy collectible that is in good condition, make sure that you grab it as you as you spot it and ask for a price quote from the seller. If you have very good haggling skills, you can get that automobile toy car for as little as $1. However, if the seller happens to have a keen eye when it comes to collectibles, and is abreast with what is in with automobile toy collectors nowadays, you can expect a higher price quote of up to $80 for a single automobile toy collectible even if it is just being sold in a flea market.

Not surprisingly, a lot of automobile toy collectors will actually be willing to pay even if it is considered as such an exorbitant amount by some. For these loyal collectors, they consider the price as nothing as long as it is an automobile toy collectible that they have spent years looking for - most especially if it is one-of-a-kind.

If you want to get started with your own automobile toy collection, there are more budget-friendly alternatives out there like the Matchbox line from Mattel which may turn out to be expensive automobile toy collectibles in the future. If you are determined to ensure the value of your automobile toy collectibles, it is best that you keep them in a safe place - preferably one that is free from dust and water. It is actually considered by weird as some that most toy collectors often prefer to have their prized collections stored behind glass cases or just kept in a box - not ever playing with it. But that is actually their way of ensuring the toy's quality and value - by keeping it from possibly getting damaged. Collector's edition toys sell more in auction sites if it is still in mint condition as opposed to something that looks like the dog just dug out from the trash can.

Just to get you started on the art of toy collecting, log on to the Internet and view auction sites to pick out something that you fancy enough to want to start collecting it.

COMPUTERS MALWARE SPYWARE

1. Intelligent Explorer What A Nightmare For Your Safety

I recently hit, by mistake, what I thought was an Explorer upgrade option. It turned out to be a pop-up appearing legitimate but really was not. It uploaded a product called Intelligent Explorer on my machine. What a nightmare!

I did some research on the web and found messages like this one from a BullGuard Antivirus Forum,

"Please help!!! I have a spyware, Trojan and Hijacker on my computer. I have run bukkguard, cwshredder and ad-aware. All have picked up the viruses and said that they have been moved/removed but when I log on the internet that damn intelligent explorer toolbar is showing"

Another message from spywareinfo Forum goes something like this:

"Hey I'm having issues with something called Internet explorer toolbar - Intelligent explorer. I can't find a way to remove it from my comp and I really don't want to reinstall windows. I've used spybot, ad-ware, and cw shredder but nothing seems to work."

It appears that Intelligent Explorer allows other software to be downloaded to your machine and this is where the problem occurs. What is even more remarkable is that by downloading Intelligent Explorer, their license grants them the right to install software add-ins on your computer at their will. Take a look at what the software license for Intelligent Explore says (go to: ieplugins homepage to read it all):

"You grant to us the right, exercisable by us until you uninstall the Software or this agreement is otherwise terminated, to provide to you the Service of downloading and causing to be displayed advertising material on your computer, through "pop-up" or other display while you use your browser. You acknowledge and agree that installation of the Software may automatically modify toolbars and other settings of your browser. By installing the Software you agree to such modifications."

The company, IBC incorporated, is incorporated in Belize. I really can't believe this license!

One end user found highly objectionable pop-up advertisements generated by this software bundled with Intelligent Explorer in the form of extreme pornography.

I have yet to break this.

Intelligent Explorer is a plug-in, which can create a new home page, as well as start up and endless loop of pop-ups. You can remove the view bar, but then starting up Internet Explorer will cause it to reappear. I asked some friends to help, and no one could tell me what to do.

What I did about it:

I bought a copy of a program called XoftSpy and it removed the software. It took two scans and a reboot to do it. This is not an advertisement for this product. They advertised it was free, which it was to run, but then I had to buy it to actually fix anything. It cost me $40 and I am sure that there are freeware products out there as well, but that is what ended the nightmare for me. Other spyware products I have seen out there include spybot, NoAdware, Spyware Eliminator, Pal Spyware Remover, and Spyware C.O.P.

2. A Layman's Guide To Answering The Question: What Is Spyware?

So, what is spyware?

I'll tell you this much it's not something from a James Bond movie. It's far more sinister than Goldtooth, and far trickier than 007's projectile pen.

What is spyware? Experts define it as a software that clandestinely penetrates and installs itself to your system to partially override the user's control over the same.

What is spyware, in simpler terms? It is a program that you never knew was installed on your PC, which makes it do things that you never intended it to do.

What Is Spyware And Why Should People Be Interested?

Most spyware programs are more irritating than destructive. Constant pop-ups that hinder your browsing pleasure or interrupts your work, changes in the home URL of your browser, occasional redirections to a particular homepage, spam messages from outside sources you're sure you never contacted before: these are just some of the inconveniences that spyware victims have to endure.

But the main reason why many people want an answer to the question what is spyware, is because some of these programs are destructive. They can cause your system to crash, or worse, they can send personal and financial details; the ones you type and store on your PC to remote users who can use the same for their wicked purposes at your expense!

What Is Spyware And What Are The Signs That A PC Is Infected By One Or More Of These Malwares?

Determining what is spyware, of course, is the more technical part of the solution. Determining whether or not your system is infected with spy software is often the dirtier part of the job.

Be wary if your PC suffers any or all of the following symptoms:

* Terrible slowdown even if only a few programs are running;
* The homepage you have set has changed, or if it keeps changing even if you manually restore the original URL;
* You receive many emails that have bounced back, meaning, your PC is sending emails without your knowledge;
* Some programs are suddenly crashing (this can be an auto-preventive measure because such programs have detected a keylogger);
* Noisier hard drive, more than usual;
* CD tray suddenly ejecting;
* Other similar occurrences

One or two of these symptoms may mean nothing, or they can indicate that you need to learn how to block spyware since it has started to infest your system.

In which case, you should stop asking the question: what is spyware? and shift to the query, what is the best form of spyware removal?

What Is Spyware Detection And Removal? How Can They Be Implemented?

Thankfully, with the ever-ballooning problem of spyware infection and the ever-growing threat that this form of malware brings, hundreds of anti-spyware programs have been invented and are being offered on the internet. Some of these anti-spyware programs are free, like Search & Destroy, while others are commercially distributed.

Spyware detection and removal is a two-phase process employed by most anti-spyware programs. Most of them have comprehensive scan engines that sweep the entire system and report any case of spyware inhabitation. Thereafter, the detection phase shifts to the removal/curing phase, where the pinpointed digital anom

3. How To Eliminate Malware

Most of us that have used a computer for any length of time be it for work or home has a pretty good understanding of the numerous security threats that computer users face on a daily basis. The time we spend downloadng patches for operating systems, getting rid of viruses, and fighting malware seems to increase with each passing day. And while I agree that these kind of computer security issues have been around just about as long as computers, the security threats have been increasing. The more intergrated our computers become in our lives, the more concern we have about the safety and security of our machines.

So, what can be done to protect our computers from these never ending threats?

On the plus side there are more than enough excellent products that combat malware, and the majority of them are affordable and easy to use. Some of these programs are used to get rid of viruses, adware, spyware, and malware, then there are others that only combat one of these problems. Most effective applications are made by companies that specialize in malware elimination for home and business PC's.

Other types of computer security programs are considered security suites, these intergrated software solutions often offer anti virus protection, spyware and adware detection and removal programs, a software firewall and automatic updates all in one simple to use application.

Well, which type of computer protection is the best?

Both the security suite and the stand alone programs have advantages and disadvantages. The security suites offer a full range of protection options in a convienent all in one package, while getting rid of viruses, fighting malware, and providing the user a software firewall using one single application.

The main drawback to the all in one solution is that if there is a security breach in one of the programs it will most likely effect the other applications ability to function correctly. So if the software firewall is found to have a security issue, the chances are that the anti virus and malware detection and removal tool will also be compromised.

Some users feel secure using a security suite, while others are more comfortable using a different program for malware detection and removal, and seperate program for anti virus protection. You will need to choose which type of protection will be most effective for you, take some time and evaluate any programs that you are interested in and then choose what will work best for you.

The one thing that you must remember is that regardless of which type of malware protection you choose, is that you need protection. You need to be able to detect and remove malware, adware, spyware, and viruses at all times. The online enviroment can be a source of many important benefits, but also remember that there are security threats as well. It is important to be aware of the risks you face and to be able to take the steps needed to eliminate them.

ART-ENTERTAINMENT-TELIVISION

1. Television The Most Popular Form Of Entertainment

The beginning of the twenty-first century, saw Latin Americans watching around three to four hours of television daily for entertainment and information purposes. Television is still considered to be a relatively new technology which appeared some fifty years ago and was not accessible to the universal audience until ten to twenty years ago.

Before the introduction of the television era, people had different sources of entertainment which included parties, festivals, sports, concerts, theaters and cinema. However all these sources of entertainment were not accessible to all the people. For example, cinema did not reach the rural people.

Television turned the world into a global village bringing movies, games and news to the people. Television created new genres of entertainment, such as the vastly popular telenovelas.

However a vast majority of people did not consider television to be boon to society. Some believed that it lead to a breaking down of social and family values. According to others with the introduction of television people have no time for other as they are busy watching television. The television sets became available since the late 1930s. It became a great source of entertainment and news.

Television genres
Television genres include a wide variety of programmes that entertains, informs and educates the audience.

Drama is the most costly entertainment genres to produce. Other genres, like historical Western genres, may also have high production costs.

Popular entertainment genres include action-oriented shows such as police, crime, detective dramas, horror or thriller shows.

The drama genre includes other genres like medical dramas and day-time soap operas.

Programmes based on science fiction can be included under the category of either drama or action, depending on whether they lay emphasis on philosophical questions or high adventure.

Comedy is a popular genre which includes situation comedy (sitcom) and animated shows for the adult demographic such as South Park.

Game shows, talk shows, variety shows and reality TV are less costly form of entertainment. The people participating in the various game shows have to answer questions and solve puzzles in order to win the prize.

Talk shows showcases the interview of various celebrities and public figures.
Variety shows feature a variety of musical performers and entertainers like comedians and magicians introduced by a host.

Some leading talk shows also often feature performances by bands, singers, comedians and other performers in between the interview section. Reality TV features ordinary people not necessarily actors who are going through unusual challenges or experiences, ranging from arrest by police officers (COPS) to weight loss (The Biggest Loser).

A variant version of reality shows depicts celebrities doing mundane activities such as going about their everyday life (The Osbournes) or doing manual labour (Simple Life).

2. How To Get A Correct Television Just For Your Home Theater

While there are many components that make up the average home theater system most people often overlook the importance of their televisions to the overall video and movie watching experience. As with all things in life, bigger, when it comes to televisions for your home theater, is not always better. There are many things that must be considered when selecting the best possible television for your home theater and size is only one of many.

Mass retailers show televisions in a manner that suits their purpose, which is a sale. This doesn't mean that their methods for displaying their televisions paints those sets in a proper light for your home viewing experience. Not so long ago, a 20-inch viewing window for your television was considered huge. It was a luxury saved for those who were extremely wealthy. The truth of the matter is that if you do not sit a proper distance from your television the quality of the picture will look horrible if your set is too large.

There are good rules of thumb to consider when purchasing a television set for your room, at least where size is concerned. The rule is that you will want no more than 4" of diagonal screen inches on your television for every foot away from the set you will be when watching cable television. The rule goes up to 5 inches per foot for satellite television or DVDs, and 6 inches per foot if you are viewing high definition television.

Of course with every rule there are exceptions. For this rule general exceptions would be two story great rooms or cathedral ceilings that might actually call for a larger television and basements or dropped ceilings that might actual be better suited for smaller televisions. You really must consider all of these things when selecting the television that will best suit your needs when it comes to your home theater and your theater set up.

Of course there is more than size to consider when it comes to the television you ultimately choose for your home theater and taste as well as space will each play important roles in the television you should choose. One important consideration is price. When you walk into the store and see all the wonderful new televisions that promise endless hours of movie watching bliss at a very hefty price tag to match. You need to be able to weed through without getting distracted by the latest and greatest of bells and whistles in order to find the set that will meet all of your movie watching needs and fall within your budget.

For this particular trip I recommend walking in with money in hand (the limit you have set) and that you leave the credit card at home. You should also carefully consider whether or not you will want an extended warranty as that will raise the base price of your television and isn't reflected in the 'sticker' price. If you bring your credit card you will be tempted to overspend rather than sticking with your original budget.

Other than price you really need to carefully consider the type of television you'd like to have for your home theater. Keep in mind that you can buy larger versions of older technology for the same price you'd pay for smaller screen sizes when it comes to LCD televisions. You should also consider the size of the television you really need for this portion too. Most of us do not sit more than 12 feet from our televisions, which means you may not need quite as much television as you may have previously thought you would need. The most important thing when choosing a television is to remember that this is an investment that most of us do not make terribly often. For that reason you should expect to drop a considerable chunk of change on this particular investment in your home theater system.

3. Breaking Into Hollywood - How Do I Pitch a Reality Show?

As a long-time professional in reality TV, I routinely am asked "How do I sell my own reality TV show?" - which I'm happy to answer based on both personal experience and industry expertise. These days, though, I prefer to talk more specifically about "how to get a pitch meeting" to "shop" your show. That's because the expression "selling a reality show," honestly, is a bit misleading. It suggests that someone "buys" your reality show, and that, therefore, money changes hands in that process. As I explain more fully below, that is not typically part of our business model, especially one's first time out. So let me first clarify that the two real verbs in our industry are "pitching" (or "shopping") a show in the beginning, and "getting an order" for a show at the end (which may be a pilot order or a series order for multiple episodes - not always 13!).

As you try to shop your first show, please, right now, reframe your language to say "How do I get a pilot or series order for my show?" That will more clearly set up the journey you are about to embark on, and it will keep you focused on your actual goal in the process.

Next, I want you to reframe your initial step in this process, the pitch, from the singular to the plural, as in, "How do I pitch my own reality shows?" You never want to scratch and claw your way into a meeting, at last, and bring only one idea. There is a lot of opportunity sitting across from you at that moment, and if they say, "That pitch is not right for us - what else do you have?"...well, your having nothing else is going to be a shame.

So are you with me? You are not trying to "sell a reality show" anymore. You now are trying to "pitch multiple reality shows" to try to "get an order" for at least one of them. Here's how you are going to do this.

There is one main way to pitch any reality show, and that is through someone you know. If you feel resistance or despair or skepticism upon reading that statement, stop for a moment and regroup. That is not a flip answer - it is an industry truth, and embracing it will help you strategize correctly towards your goal. You simply must actively and regularly seek to meet people who will enable you to pitch - without being perceived as a parasite in the process.

How do you start networking effectively? Ideally, you or someone involved with your projects is a reality industry professional, so you should first reach out to the heads of any production companies where you have worked to see if they are a fit for your particular genre of show or will make an introduction to a prod co or network on your behalf. In addition, professional groups like the TV Academy and Producers Guild offer many resources, from meeting network heads to educational and social gatherings where you can network and try to set up meetings, so your team's reality insider(s) must take advantage of those. Finally, a reality professional absolutely can cold call development heads at networks for shows they have worked on to try to get a meeting, but it is a tougher route. Ultimately, it doesn't matter if you reach out to a prod co or a net; it matters that you find someone who will take your call AND that they have a track record making shows like yours that actually air.

If you do not have anyone on the team with a reality track record, it is a harder job to shop a show, understandably (since that represents starting at the very top of a tough industry), and appreciably harder to stay attached to it since you would not be bringing valued experience to the table. It still can be done, with a lot of cold calling and persistence - and a focus on the unique and exceptional talent (like a Cesar Milan) that you have built the show around. Reality show ideas are not hard to come by (please believe that), but great talent is, and that will be your in! Otherwise, you are asking for a favor in getting any meeting, and that can stick you in the "parasite" column quickly, even if it seems unfair. You can pitch to either nets or prod cos; again, that will be determined mainly by whom you can meet and convince to take your pitch. Expect to sign a release, as well.

I always point out that our business model usually does not include a show's creator being paid for getting a green light (be prepared, in fact, to spend money to "sell" your show). In non-fiction, an order often instead triggers a small development fee that goes directly to the production company hired to flesh out the project, which is usually a company the network has a close and trusting relationship with. So as you list the reasons you want to sell the show, remove "making money" from the list and push ahead. Money comes AFTER production begins if you can stay attached (which is easier if you already have reality credits), so be sure to have an experienced non-fiction attorney on your team to fight for you to have a production position if it sells. That's where some of the expenses come from.

What about the agent option? It is very unlikely you will be able to secure a reality agent unless your team's reality insider is an established show runner, or at least at the senior producer level on a show. Non-fiction agents don't typically rep shows or projects; they rep talent. That's because, per the last point, there is no money in selling reality shows, but there is considerable money in taking 10% of a show runner's weekly salary. If you (or your team's reality person) have management level credits on a successful show, it is perfectly all right to cold call agents to try to set up an introductory meeting. Your job there is to convince them you are hirable onto many shows at the management level and that, again, you have multiple pitches ready to shop so they can try to sell a show for your own production company once you have the credits to warrant that (for which they can fight for a bundling fee as you hire all of their other clients to the show's staff).

Are you ready now to pitch your show? That depends on if you have multiple projects prepared to present and have networked your way into effective people to present those projects to. As you delve deeper into this difficult but exciting experience, I recommend you focus on success in reality TV in terms of having a successful career in reality TV because that is where you can both sell a show AND make money in the process.

WALKING EXERCISE 4 BODY

1. Nordic walking- in non Nordic Countries

Nordic walking was started in Finland in 1997 as a summer fitness work out for cross country skiers . It was later on promoted by the Finnish government to encourage the people to exercise . About 760,000 Finns implement with this walking often.
The Nordic walking spreaded quickly in the Nordic countries like Norway Sweden Germany , where more people are familiar with Nordic style skiing .
In Finland ,at the summer, the mean every day temperature is constantly over 10°C . We also know that all the countries mentioned here are mostly cold countries. So what happens in the hot countries where the mean summer temperatures
Are around 30 c ? Is this kind of activity suitable for those countries , where there is no snow at all ?
I am living in a hot country with summer temperatures about the 30 c.
From my own knowledge I can promise you It fits also to hot countries but I have to emphasis the following subjects :
Walking time: Early morning , is my favorite time . The air is usually not polluted .The car traffic is low . You have a chance to see the daybreak . Not Many walkers .
Clothes: Use light clothing as possible . Light shirt .Short trousers. A hat if you will meet the hot sun !
Footwear : There are especially designed shoes for Nordic Walking , but a good walking shoe or a running shoe can also do the job .
Water : Very important ! I usually carry on my backside a water bag , with a pipeline so I don't have to leave the walking poles for drinking .
Walking poles : Using the walking poles with gloves is unbearable .The hands feel very hot and sweaty inside the gloves. The solution is to use walking poles without gloves but they should not be the kind with flat cork shaft . The reason of course is that the sweating hands are sliding on the shaft, so you can't give that thurst with the hands , which is a part of the Nordic Walking .
This leads to the thought that the shaft has to be the type with curves which fit the fingers. With this kind of shaft you can "play " with the way you are holding the walking poles : Before sweating in the hand palms , you can have a full grasp on the shaft . Later you can hold the shaft with the thumb and index finger only.
Another way is to put the thumb on top of the shaft , and with the remaining fingers grip the shaft slightly . As we can see there are Nordic Walking solutions also for the not so North countries .

2. A Great Activity In The English Lake District

Many see scrambling as a mountain adventure like rock climbing - and, yes, it is exciting, but if done properly it provides loads of excitement with none of the risk. The Lake District offers many fine scrambles, including the most famous of all - Jack's Rake. If you're of average fitness, and with a stout heart, this is scramble well worth attempting.

But let's start by answering the fundamental question of all would-be scramblers. How do you define scrambling? It's a pastime somewhere between steep walking and rock climbing. It's not really climbing, but it certainly isn't hill-walking (known as fell walking in this part of the world). You'll always need your hands to hold on - together with your feet and any other spare part of your anatomy!

If you want something more exciting than fell-walking, scrambling is an exciting step upwards which will add huge interest to a day out. And for rock climbers, a day spent scrambling is a great rest-day alternative.

But what may appeal to you most is the chance to get off the beaten track. Scrambling usually takes place off conventional trails and footpaths, so even on the busiest days you have the chance of solitude.

The Lake District has many varied scrambles, ranging from steep ridges and buttresses to water-filled ghylls and ravines. There are many guide books available which take you through the classic and more challenging routes. They are graded from 1 to 4 - if you're a beginner, you'll want to start with Grade 1, the easiest.

Although the easiest scrambles are well within a fit walker's capacity, unroped scrambling in exposed situations can present some risks. If you want to try it, make sure that you are well-briefed, and ensure the weather is suitable - wet rock in particular can be very dangerous.

To learn more about scrambling contact the British Mountaineering Council on 0870 010 4878 or visit www.thebmc.co.uk

And so - you've decided you want to try it: where to go first? Jack's Rake in the Langdale Pikes is a classic scramble, well known to generations of walkers.

You start in Langdale from the Stickle Ghyll car park, and ascend up to Stickle Tarn in one not-so-difficult ascent. This gives you the chance to survey the Rake, a diagonal traverse of the face of the crag opposite you. The cut of Jack's Rake makes its way from the bottom right to top left of Pavey Ark - and it's easy to see. Now's the time to rethink your plan for the day if your nerve gives way!

The exposed areas can be seen clearly. If you decide to go ahead, walk around the tarn to the foot of Jack's Rake and look up the crevice in the rock. The first feature point is a sole Rowan tree about a hundred yards ahead - beyond that, it's easier to go on rather than turn around.

For most of the ascent you climb inside a rock groove. which makes this feel very safe for beginners. Although there are tight spots the rock channel offers comforting protection from exposure to the drop down to the tarn. However, bear in mind that there are some very exposed sections later on!

After you've passed the Rowan tree, there's a small flat piece of ground with no edge protection - perfect for viewing the scenery! The path is wide, but step off and you're going to be falling off the cliff and down to the tarn. Be very careful where you tread!

The next stage of the climb has a few scary moments - mostly involving smooth rock which is slippery when wet, or tight crevasses which you cannot squeeze through, and so must traverse on the edge of the rock face. And near the final ascent comes the most exposed bit of Jack's Rake: a sharp turn to the right to gain the summit, with a sheer drop below you to the left. Like so many frightening situations, it's better if you don't stop to think, grasp your handholds firmly, and haul yourself up.

Finishing the scramble is a moment of triumph, and if you're a novice Lake District Scrambler it will give you fantastic memories for years to come!

3 Walking Will Help You Lose Weight

The concept behind successful weight loss is that you have to burn more calories than your body is taking in, this is known as a calorie deficit. A good way to get your body into a calorie deficit is walking.

Walking will help you to lose weight, not only is it a low impact exercise, it will burn plenty of calories. Apart from walking you will also need to make up an exercise plan, and remember that planning is essential to succeed in anything, losing weight is no different.

You need to construct your plan so that you are doing some sort of physical activity everyday. The more physical you can get on a daily basis, the more weight you will lose.

It is completely up to you as to which exercises you want to do, make sure that whatever you choose they fit in with your life and that you enjoy what you do.It is really hard to stick to something if you hate it. You could choose from running, skipping, swimming, dancing, tennis, walking, golf, or any number of activities, a gym is not the only place to burn calories.

The good thing about walking is that it is not too hard and anyone in reasonable health can do it. It is also free to do, which is another big bonus. The longer you walk, the greater the benefits, so try to make sure that you walk for at least half an hour each day. This is an easy way to be able to exercise 7 days a week.

You may feel a little apprehensive about just walking around, but don't; If you need to go somewhere that is within a mile of your house, walk there instead of taking the car. Drive out of the city a couple of times a week or on the weekends. Then walk in the fields or hills, this will give you lots of fresh air and give you peaceful surroundings to walk in.

Make other changes to the way you do things. Try walking up the stairs instead of using lifts or esculators, take the kids to a park a couple of times a week and kick a ball around, just think of things in your daily activities that can be changed and will burn more calories.

Once you have become accustomed to walking for certain periods, start to make it more difficult, run for short stretches, make it more challenging by carrying a small backpack with some weight in it, or even try jumping for 20 yards every 5 minutes. Although it is advisable to do this where you are alone or you may get some strange looks.

The secret is to keep it progressive, meaning that you continue to increase what you do. If you don't increase what you do, your body has no reason to change as it can easily cope with what you are doing. By doing more your body will have to constantly change to cope with the extra work.

Begin to do this as soon as possible, and don't keep putting things off. In time you can move onto more difficult and more challenging ways to exercise, but in the begining walking will help you lose weight.

EMPLOYMENT - BUSINESS

1. Chicken Soup for the Soul:

The widely felt global warming effect of the economy has left thousands of unemployed individuals in open risk. The rate is fluctuating, rising and falling unpredictably. Even permanent employment status individual are prone to risk of loosing the job. Job security is a strange subject.

#According to research, employment is predicted to soar in its peak but is currently dependent on the economy. For one nation to have a high employment rate, it must be stable and strong. The fall of different business and industries resulted to the closure of employment opportunities. The labor industry is struggling to lift at least to raise the rate of employment.

#For an unemployed individual, it is a question of when and how to get employed in the midst of a neck-for-neck employment competition. The slim chance of being employed leaves him hanging over the edge of the cliff, uncertain if he will be hired or not.

#Ironically, the job market is in continuous search fro individuals, although the number is small, chances are, windows are still open for possibilities of employment. For an unemployed individual, this tips can help to be employed.

1.try looking for networks, the best companies prefer on referrals. Make a list of people who can refer you to a job. Try calling them and ask them politely to recommend you . It is better to be honest and straightforward. This is not a good time to be too picky. Take note, there are also millions out there wanting to be hired. Once the connection is established, you can negotiate and switch to better positions later once you've established your name.
2.If there is no employment for a currently paying jobs, go for a volunteer work. Employers would be impressed if you have done something charitable. Besides the volunteer work is fun at the same time extending help. Not only are you doing a remarkable work, you are also gaining reference for possible employment.
3.Practice how to stand out from the rest. Employment is very stiff. Being elevated from the rest would be an advantage for being hired.
4.When in an interview, be prepared. Employers would usually observe the way you behave and uses behavioral psychology in the process of employment screening. It is best to be real but formal. Giving an honest response helps. Employment is not just a matter of getting the job, it is a process of building a professional life. If it started with a lie, it would taint the whole process and might be taken against you in the future.
5.Know about the company background. You would not like walking to the company with an empty information. Knowing something about the company makes the employer conclude that you are interested in the job and the company. Employment would positively exist when done right.
6.Gather your thoughts before answering. If unemployed or has been shifting from one job to another, be prepared with the reasons and know how to stand for it. Remember, you are selling yourself in an honest way. You would not want to make a negative impression. You are looking for employment not wasting it,
7.Don't get idle looking for same jobs in case you fail. Being discourage dafter a first failure does not help at all. Take it as a challenge. There are lots of job listings to check for. Employment might be that stiff but if with right attitude, you might get the job.
8.Many people just look for employment without looking if their skills are in consonance with the job they are applying for. The look for a place for employment might be difficult but it is more difficult to land to a totally strange job without the necessary skill to battle with.
#
#Whether you are looking for a job, switching form one job to another, to be successful in the employment battle is to know thyself and the job you are looking for. Get the attitude going for employment to take place. Don't get wired, get the employment opportunity once it is there.

2. How to Avoid Hiring A "Lemon"

You push back the chair from your desk and stand up, then you take a few steps toward the window and peer out over the parking lot. As you turn your head scanning the kaleidoscope of colors and designs, one car in particular catches your eye. It's the kind of car you always wanted, and it's sitting right in front of you, it's sleek red body glistening in all its sunlit glory. You sit down again and lean back. For a moment, you imagine yourself in the driver's seat. You soon find yourself shifting gears with one hand, steering an imaginary wheel with the other, and muttering the sound "Vrmmmm" 'hoping no one walks in and sees you!

Like everyone, you make assumptions based on your observations. You see a red sports car and immediately think: convertible - red - fun - fast.

A few minutes later, your dream "pops" when you see the owner peering down into the engine. As he comes up, he narrowly misses hitting his head on the hood. He slams the hood down and angrily walks away. The next thing you know a tow truck pulls up and hauls your dream car away. You begin to think: "expensive, not-so-fast, not-so-fun." You actually feel a sense of relief that you don't own the car and won't have to pay to fix it.

Managers make the same sort of assumptions every day when they hire employees. They observe a candidate during the interview or on the job and make assumptions about his potential based on how he looks and what he claims he can do. But too many times, after the candidate is hired and on the payroll, the manager turns the "key" and all they hear is "click, click, click". They wonder - did I hire a lemon?

I often use this car metaphor when describing how the inter-relationships of behavior, values, personality and abilities predict job fit success - and why tools like DISC and Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (MBTI) don't accurately predict job fit.

The model and color of a car are observable. Its design and condition may even give away its age. Based on these observations, you will make certain assumptions about the performance, fuel efficiency and cost of maintenance for this vehicle. Managers make similar observations every day about candidates, too. They extrapolate that outgoing people naturally make good salespeople and meticulous individuals are potential accounting stars. They expect an employee to perform in a certain way based on how they've observed other people like her perform. They assume that if they hire a candidate who walks and talks like a previous top-performing employee, they will get the same type of performance.

But as we learned from driving cars, performance takes more than just a stylish design and a hot color. All you need to do is watch the Indy or Daytona 500 to find out you can't predict a winner by its model and color.

Tools like DISC and MBTI were constructed and validated to predict observable behavior much like engineers and marketers design cars to sell based on eye appeal. In other words, as many managers have already painfully learned, what you see is NOT always what you get when you hire an employee. Relying on behavioral assessments (or the traditional interview alone) to predict future job performance is the equivalent of buying a used car with its hood welded shut.

What else should you be looking for as you pop the hood and kick the proverbial candidate's tires?

The most important factor in predicting job fit is knowing what type of "engine" the employee has. Is he or she carrying a Briggs & Stratton, Honda, BMW or Mercedes engine? How many cylinders does it have? How much torque can it generate? How much horsepower can it create? How fuel efficient is it?

When assessing job candidates, we can't measure cylinders, torque and horsepower. But we can look under his hood, so to speak, by assessing his personality and abilities.

The most accurate employee job fit tests are based on the Five-Factor Personality Factors, i.e., agreeableness, conscientiousness, extraversion, neuroticism, and openness. Pre-employment and leadership assessments based on this five-factor model can accurately evaluate a candidate's approach to making decisions and solving complex problems, working and executing a business plan, and developing and sustaining relationships as part of a team or when leading others.

A good personality fit is what drives successful employee performance. A good job fit is the equivalent of having a top performing engine in a car - without it, you'll likely find yourself wishing you never "bought" the employee in the first place and anxiously waiting for someone to come tow him or her away! Without looking under the employee's "hood," you might find yourself buying a BMW with a blown engine.

But that's not all you should check. Another performance factor that can be measured is mental horsepower. Through general ability or cognitive skills testing we can assess how quickly and accurately a candidate can think on his feet, learn new things and think holistically (see the big picture). Like the driver behind the wheel of his sports car climbing a steep hill, a manager needs to know how capable an employee will be when faced with unanticipated and complex challenges.

Finally, who cares how a car looks and what it might run like if it doesn't have any fuel. The fuel equivalent in people is motivation. And what motivates people is easily measured with an assessment called Business Values and Motivators, based on the work of Eduard Spranger.

So there you have it. Like the driver behind the wheel of a car flashing across the finish line, managers have the same ability to control their destinies when hiring top performers. The only things that concern a winning driver as he approaches the last lap is that the engine keeps running and there is enough fuel in the tank. He couldn't care less about the model of his car if it isn't winning the race.

By using a package of behavior, personality, abilities, and motivators pre-employment and leadership tests, managers too can "pop the hood" of candidates to ensure their employees have what it takes to finish the race ahead of the pack.
